Modifies Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 136A.1791, subdivision 1 to expand the definition of "school district" in the teacher shortage loan forgiveness program.

Adds "nonpublic school" (excluding home schools) to the list of eligible employers for the teacher shortage loan forgiveness program, which previously limited eligibility to public school districts and charter schools.

Maintains existing definitions for qualified educational loans covering government, commercial, or foundation loans for tuition and reasonable educational and living expenses related to teacher preparation or further education in shortage areas.

Applies to teachers holding a teaching license issued by the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board who are employed by eligible school districts to provide classroom instruction.
