Amends Minnesota Statutes section 123B.92 to add a new subdivision establishing state aid for districts that provide transportation to area learning center students.

Districts may apply to the commissioner of education for reimbursement of transportation costs for students enrolled in area learning center programs during the preceding fiscal year.

Commissioner of education must develop application forms, criteria to determine when transportation is necessary, accounting procedures for excess costs, and consider other revenue sources when determining aid amounts.

Appropriates funds from the general fund to the Department of Education for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, with specific dollar amounts to be determined.

Any unused balance from the first year of appropriation carries forward to the second year.
