Secretary of the Senate continues duties during interim at 2024 regular session rates, with authority to employ necessary staff and may be replaced by acting secretary if vacancy occurs.

Secretary of the Senate authorized to correct Senate Journal, approve appointments to interim commissions, and manage contracts for printing, binding, and Senate facility improvements (contracts over $20,000 require approval from Rules Committee chair and designated member).

Senate members and staff reimbursed for actual expenses incurred during interim duties, with Committee on Rules and Administration determining reimbursement amounts for living and other expenses when Legislature not in regular session.
