Committee on Rules and Administration may assign matters to Senate committees and subcommittees for study and investigation during the interim between the 93rd Legislature's 2023 and 2024 sessions.

Standing committees may conduct studies within their jurisdiction and coordinate work with House committees, potentially conducting joint studies if determined appropriate.

Subcommittee on Committees shall appoint members to fill vacancies in committees, commissions, and other bodies requiring Senate appointments.

Secretary of the Senate continues duties during interim at 2023 session rates plus travel and subsistence expenses, with authority to employ necessary staff to finish current business and prepare for 2024 session.

Secretary of the Senate may correct Senate Journal entries, approve interim commission appointments, contract for printing and binding of journals (contracts over $10,000 require Committee approval), and manage Senate facilities and parking arrangements.
