Commends Mark Peihl for 38 years of service to the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County (HCSCC), beginning as a volunteer in the late 1970s after earning a history degree from the University of North Dakota.

Recognizes Peihl's appointment as the first full-time Clay County archivist in January 1986 and his role directing archives, collections, and the museum at the Hjemkomst Center featuring the Hjemkomst Viking Ship and Hopperstad Stave Church.

Acknowledges Peihl's contributions including research and writing of numerous exhibits, scholarly articles in nearly every newsletter since 1986, and delivery of over 1,000 public presentations to tens of thousands of people.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Mark Peihl.
