Expands optometrists' authority to administer certain injections, now allowing sub-Tenon, retrobulbar, and intravitreal injections in addition to anaphylaxis treatment

Removes the prohibition on optometrists prescribing oral steroids, while adding a requirement for physician consultation if steroids are administered or prescribed for more than 14 days

Eliminates the 10-day limit on optometrists prescribing or administering oral antivirals

Removes the 7-day limit on prescribing or administering oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (glaucoma medications)

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 148.56, subdivision 1, which defines the scope of optometry practice
