Prohibits construction of schools within one-quarter mile of dump sites or closed landfills in Minnesota

Applies to public school and charter school buildings, playgrounds, and athletic fields

Defines "closed landfill" as sites listed on the Pollution Control Agency website as potentially contaminated

Defines "dump site" to include unpermitted disposal sites from the February 2001 Dump Assessment Study, sites on the PCA contamination list, and sites known by county solid waste officers

Effective July 1, 2025
