Appropriates $6,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 from the general fund to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for a grant to FilmNorth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Funds will renovate property at 2447 University Avenue West in St. Paul into a multiuse facility

Facility will include a workforce training center for film industry jobs, a publicly accessible archive for Minnesota-made short films, documentaries, experimental films, and narrative films

Facility will also provide a soundstage, community event space, and affordable office space for low-income artists

One-time appropriation available until project completion or abandonment, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642
