Licensed liquor wholesalers under chapter 340A may purchase and sell lower-potency hemp edibles, with mandatory registration with the state office required beginning April 1, 2025

Registered wholesalers may purchase from cannabis microbusinesses, mezzobusinesses, cultivators, manufacturers, and lower-potency hemp edible manufacturers, and sell to licensed retailers and medical cannabis businesses

Wholesalers may import lower-potency hemp edibles from out-of-state manufacturers if those manufacturers are licensed in jurisdictions with substantially similar consumer protection regulations

Transportation requirements include tamper-evident containers not visible from outside the vehicle, shipping manifests, documentation of all stops, and vehicles are subject to inspection at any time

The office may cancel registration for wholesalers prohibited from distributing cannabinoid products in other jurisdictions, convicted of related offenses, or found liable for products that injured customers
