Foreign-trained dentists seeking dental hygienist licensure must submit an application, fee, and their dental school diploma to the Board of Dentistry

Maintains existing pathway requiring graduation from a Commission on Dental Accreditation-accredited dental hygiene program with minimum two academic years of education

All applicants regardless of pathway must still pass the National Board of Dental Hygiene examination, a clinical competency exam, and a Minnesota law/rules examination before licensure
