Amends Minnesota Statutes section 47.20, subdivision 8, to change the required method for sending default notices to borrowers from certified mail to first-class mail

Adds a new option allowing lenders to send default notices via email or other electronic communication if both the lender and borrower agree to this method in writing

Makes compliance with conventional loan mortgage document requirements optional for mortgages dated between August 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025

Applies retroactively from July 31, 2024, providing a one-year grace period for lenders during the transition to the new notice requirements
