Attorney general must submit an annual report by July 15 to chairs and ranking minority members of legislative committees overseeing judiciary, civil law, or criminal law

Report must list all legal proceedings where the constitutionality of a state statute has been challenged

For each case, the report must include: the statute being challenged, the attorney general's defense efforts, case status, staff time dedicated to the case, and costs incurred during the preceding fiscal year (ending June 30)

Creates new section 8.312 in Minnesota Statutes

Effective the day following final enactment
