Trapping seasons for fur-bearing animals begin at sunrise on the opening day set by the commissioner

Removes the prohibition on tending traps between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., allowing 24-hour trap tending with portable artificial lights while on foot

Body-gripping (conibear-type) traps and non-drowning snares must be tended at least once every third calendar day, reduced from the current daily requirement for snares

Foot-encapsulating traps with openings no larger than 2 inches may be set within 50 feet of water within 30 days before mink and muskrat season without a special permit

Repeals Minnesota Rules 6234.2400, subpart 10, which required daily tending of non-drowning snares
