Suspends implementation of revised social studies standards and delays the next review cycle from 2020-2021 to 2030-2031, requiring schools to continue using 2012 standards until new ones are adopted

Repeals Minnesota Statutes 120B.25 and 120B.251, which defined ethnic studies and required high schools to offer ethnic studies courses starting in 2026-2027 and elementary/middle schools to provide ethnic studies instruction by 2027-2028

Removes the requirement for the commissioner of education to embed ethnic studies into academic standards during review and revision cycles

Cancels ethnic studies appropriations: reduces community consultation funding from $150,000 to $37,000 for 2025, zeros out the $700,000 school grants program, and eliminates the $150,000/year ethnic studies specialist position at the Department of Education

Removes ethnic studies course credit equivalency provisions that allowed such courses to fulfill social studies, language arts, arts, math, science, or elective credits
