Adds the Health and Safety Institute as an approved organization for developing CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) training curricula for Minnesota school districts, alongside the American Heart Association and American Red Cross

Allows Health and Safety Institute representatives to serve as community instructors who may provide CPR and AED training in schools

Updates terminology throughout the statute from "automatic" to "automated" external defibrillator

Removes outdated reference to the 2014-2015 school year implementation date while maintaining the requirement for one-time CPR/AED instruction for all students in grades 7-12
