Expands optometrists' authority to administer certain injections, including sub-Tenon, retrobulbar, and intravitreal injections, in addition to the existing allowance for anaphylaxis treatment

Removes the prohibition on optometrists prescribing or administering oral steroids, allowing them to prescribe steroids for up to 14 days without physician consultation

Eliminates the 10-day limit on oral antiviral prescriptions by optometrists

Removes the 7-day restriction on optometrists prescribing or administering oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 148.56, subdivision 1, which defines the scope of optometry practice
