Expands personal information protections currently available to judicial officials to include current and former Minnesota state legislators, allowing them to request removal of residential addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and children's names/school information from public postings within 30 days.

Creates a 12-member legislative task force on government official privacy protections, including 8 members from the Legislative Commission on Data Practices plus appointees from the secretary of state, commissioner of administration, chief justice, and Minnesota Association of County Officers.

Requires the task force to study whether personal information protections should be changed or expanded to additional government officials, and to evaluate options for efficient administration of such protections.

Task force must submit a report with conclusions and recommended legislative changes to relevant committee chairs by January 15, 2027, at which point the task force expires.

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Legislative Coordinating Commission to support the task force, available until January 15, 2027.
