Expands the definition of "school property" to include facilities hosting Minnesota State High School League activities and events where conspicuous signs are posted at entrances

Removes the exemption allowing permit holders to keep or store firearms in motor vehicles on school property under existing carry permit statutes

Eliminates the exemption for possession of dangerous weapons, BB guns, or replica firearms with written permission from school principals or child care center directors

Removes the exemption for persons on unimproved property owned by schools or child care centers unless a student is present for school-related activities

Establishes mandatory storage requirements for authorized persons (peace officers, military personnel, ceremonial guards) when off-duty: firearms must be unloaded, secured in a locked container resistant to forced entry, and placed in a locked trunk or out of plain sight in vehicles
