Amends Minnesota Statutes section 504B.291 governing tenant redemption rights in eviction cases for nonpayment of rent

Expands who can provide a written guarantee to redeem a tenancy beyond government agencies and 501(c)(3) nonprofits to include any third party with sufficient funds available

Third-party guarantors must provide a statement under penalty of perjury that funds will be provided to the landlord as agreed to by the parties

Removes the requirement that nonprofit organizations specifically administer a government rental assistance program to qualify as guarantors

Effective the day following final enactment and applies to eviction actions filed on or after that date
