Federal immigration officers (including ICE and Border Protection) are prohibited from entering Minnesota public and eligible private postsecondary campuses unless they provide valid identification, a written statement of purpose, and a warrant issued by a state or federal judge

Postsecondary institution employees must notify the chief administrative official or institution president when a federal immigration officer requests entrance or is found on campus

Educational data disclosures to federal agencies are restricted, requiring a judicial order or subpoena for certain releases under 20 U.S.C. § 1232g(b)(1)(J)(ii)

Educational institutions are prohibited from designating as directory information any data that indicates an individual is not a U.S. citizen or national, including international student status

All provisions take effect the day following final enactment and apply to Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, University of Minnesota, and eligible private institutions offering in-person courses in Minnesota
