Licensed and certified license-exempt child care centers in Minnesota must require federal immigration agents (from DHS, ICE, CBP, or USCIS) to present valid identification, a written statement of purpose, and a valid judicial warrant before entry

Child care center license holders must approve any federal immigration agent access before entry is permitted

Even when all requirements are met, federal agents must be restricted to areas where children are not present

Exceptions apply when access is required by state or federal law or to administer state/federally supported child care programs
