Expands eligibility for the Dairy Assistance, Investment, Relief Initiative (DAIRI) program to include new dairy farms that did not market milk during 2022 or marketed milk for only a portion of 2022

New dairy farms will receive DAIRI payments based on their production history as established in their federal dairy risk protection program enrollment, rather than 2022 production figures

Existing DAIRI program provides $4,000,000 in grants to Minnesota dairy farms producing no more than 16,000,000 pounds of milk in 2022, with payments calculated on up to 5,000,000 pounds per farm

Participating farms must enroll in coverage under a federal dairy risk protection program to qualify
