County agricultural societies (as defined under section 38.01) may award up to $100,000 in prizes for lawful gambling per calendar year while remaining exempt from gambling licensure requirements, compared to the $50,000 limit for other organizations

Exempt organizations must still meet other requirements including conducting gambling on five or fewer days per year, submitting applications with a $100 fee ($150 if late), and notifying local government 30-60 days in advance

Organizations must purchase equipment from licensed distributors and report gross receipts, prizes, expenses, and net profit expenditures to the board within 30 days of each gambling occasion
