Establishes a Teacher Microcredential Task Force to evaluate benefits and implementation of teacher microcredentials in Minnesota, with particular focus on supporting professional growth and addressing special education workforce shortages

Task force membership includes 6 members appointed by the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board executive director by September 1, 2026: the executive director or designee, two licensed teachers (one metro, one outstate), and representatives from teacher education colleges, school boards, and special education administrators

Task force must review current licensure processes, identify fields where microcredentials would best serve needs, determine necessary statutory and administrative changes, and may consult experts from states that have implemented microcredentials

Report with findings and recommendations due to K-12 education legislative committees by February 1, 2027, at which point the task force expires

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund to PELSB for fiscal year 2027 to support the task force; members serve without compensation or expense reimbursement
