Establishes an eight-year term limit for public members of the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, with an exception allowing up to six additional months to fill a vacancy

Applies to the eight public members appointed by the governor (4), senate subcommittee (2), and speaker of the house (2); does not apply to the four legislative members

Effective July 1, 2026, applying to appointments made on or after that date

Years served on the council before July 1, 2026, count toward the eight-year limit
