Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board must study whether local office candidates can use the board's existing reporting software to track contributions, expenditures, and other campaign finance data required under Minnesota Statutes chapter 211A

Pilot project required in at least four local jurisdictions during the 2028 general election, including at least one county, one city, and one school district election

At least half of pilot jurisdictions must be located outside the seven-county metropolitan area

Local candidates would retain their existing obligation to file reports with local filing officers; the board would have no jurisdiction over their activities or compliance

Board must submit a report with study results and recommendations to legislative election committees by March 15, 2029
