Employers must provide suitable seating for employees and permit its use when the nature of the work reasonably allows

"Suitable seating" is defined as an adequate number of chairs, stools, or benches with back support, placed in reasonable proximity to the work area

Enforcement authority is assigned to the commissioner under existing Minnesota occupational safety statutes (sections 182.66 and 182.661)

Violations are subject to administrative penalties under section 182.666
