Appropriates unspecified amounts from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 for IT improvements to two Department of Human Services systems: MAXIS (public assistance eligibility system) and MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System)

MAXIS funding must support modernization or replacement with direct impact on public assistance casework, developed collaboratively with counties and Tribal Nations

MMIS funding must support modernization or replacement with direct impact on health care claims and capitation payment processing, developed collaboratively with counties, Tribal Nations, and health plans

Funds are restricted to the specified modernization plans and cannot be used for other DHS or Department of Children, Youth, and Families IT systems

Both appropriations are onetime and effective the day following final enactment
