Mandates new policies and procedures for emergency situations when residents experience events such as falls, heart events, breathing difficulties, bleeding, or choking

Requires facilities to provide emergency procedure policies to prospective residents before admission and to current residents during nursing assessments

Expands required training for unlicensed personnel to specifically include procedures for handling emergencies such as resident falls, heart events, breathing difficulties, bleeding, and choking
