Tax revenues must fund construction of a new fire station, with project costs capped at $3,000,000 plus associated bonding costs

City may issue bonds up to $3,000,000 (plus issuance costs) under Minnesota Statutes chapter 475; bonds are excluded from city debt limitations and require no separate bond election

Tax expires at the earlier of 20 years after first imposed or when sufficient revenue is collected to cover project and bonding costs

Effective the day after the city governing body and chief clerical officer comply with statutory filing requirements
