Local governments may prohibit cannabis businesses within 1,000 feet of schools or 500 feet of day cares, residential treatment facilities, or public park attractions regularly used by minors (playgrounds, athletic fields)

Removes the interim ordinance provision that allowed local governments to temporarily prohibit cannabis business operations until January 1, 2025

State cannabis office must deny licenses (changed from "may") when local governments provide evidence that proposed businesses fail to comply with local zoning, land use laws, State Fire Code, or State Building Code

Counties with consent from cities or towns may develop countywide processes for issuing retail registrations while limiting the number allowed in each participating municipality

Local governments must annually submit compliance check data to the state office, including business information, check results, violation descriptions, and any enforcement actions taken
