City of Caledonia authorized to impose a 0.25% local sales and use tax upon voter approval at an election

Tax revenues dedicated to financing up to $1,600,000 plus bonding costs and interest for construction of a Public Safety Center

City may issue bonds up to $1,600,000 principal to finance the project; bonds are excluded from city debt limitations and do not require separate voter approval

Tax expires at the earlier of 10 years after first imposed or when sufficient revenue is collected to cover project costs and bond obligations

Any remaining funds after tax termination must be placed in the city's general fund
