Affects employees originally designated as unclassified under a 1997 Department of Human Services pilot program (Laws 1997, chapter 97, section 18)

Converted employees become subject to standard classified service terms including probationary periods, mandatory training, bargaining unit agreements, and agency policies

Employees must not receive a salary reduction at the time of conversion to classified status
