Extends the deadline for meat processing training and retention incentive grant projects from the standard timeframe to up to three years for project completion

Amends Laws 2023, chapter 43, article 1, section 2, subdivision 5, which governs Department of Agriculture administration and financial assistance appropriations

Allocates $222,000 in the first year and $322,000 in the second year for the meat processing training and retention incentive grant program

Allows the commissioner to use up to 6.5 percent of the appropriation for administrative costs

Effective the day following final enactment
