Establishes the Commanders Task Force to advise the legislature, governor, and commissioner on matters pertaining to veterans and veterans' families

Membership consists of elected leaders from 8 congressionally chartered veteran service organizations in Minnesota: The American Legion, American Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, Jewish War Veterans, Marine Corps League, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Veterans of Foreign Wars

Task force must adopt standing rules, conduct regular meetings, and annually elect a chair and vice-chair from among its members

Serves as a liaison between state government and the member veteran service organizations

Members receive no compensation, per diem, or expense reimbursement from state funds, and the task force does not expire
