$3,350,000 appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Commissioner of Natural Resources for a grant to the city of Carver for levee restoration

Project will restore the Carver levee to protect a historic district from Minnesota River floodwaters and must meet FEMA certification requirements

Funds cover predesign, design, engineering, land acquisition, and construction including raising levee height, constructing internal drainage, and establishing setbacks to adjacent structures

Appropriation supplements previous funding from Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 1, section 7, subdivision 8 for the same purpose

One-time funding remains available until project completion or abandonment, effective the day following final enactment
