Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 121A.041, which prohibited public schools from using American Indian names, symbols, or images as mascots, nicknames, logos, letterheads, or team names starting September 1, 2026

Eliminates the exemption process that allowed schools to seek approval from all 11 federally recognized Tribal Nations in Minnesota and the Tribal Nations Education Committee to retain American Indian mascots

Removes reporting requirements for school districts with American Indian mascots to submit compliance progress reports to legislative education committees by February 2025 and February 2026

Effective the day following final enactment for the 2025-2026 school year and later
