Teachers who completed a state-approved teacher preparation program and passed licensure examinations in another state are exempt from Minnesota's pedagogy and content examinations for Tier 3 and Tier 4 licenses

Teachers with three consecutive years of teaching experience in a single school district or charter school in another state are limited to a one-year probationary period in Minnesota, reduced from the standard three-year probationary period

Teachers who completed a probationary period in another state and have three consecutive years of out-of-state teaching experience must serve no longer than one year of probation in Minnesota school districts

Amendments apply to both regular school district teachers (section 122A.40) and teachers in districts with site management teams (section 122A.41)
