Health plans must cover cancer imaging for enrollees with increased cancer risk as determined by National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines

Health plans must cover clinical genetic testing for inherited gene mutations when recommended by a health care provider for enrollees with personal or family history of cancer

Coverage for both imaging and genetic testing is exempt from cost-sharing, including deductibles, co-payments, and coinsurance

Exception allows cost-sharing requirements to apply for enrollees with health savings accounts or catastrophic health plans to preserve their federal tax eligibility

Effective January 1, 2026, for health plans offered, issued, or renewed on or after that date
