Expands eligibility for mortuary science internships to allow individuals currently enrolled in an accredited mortuary science program to begin their internship, not just those who have completed education or passed examinations

Adds a new registration requirement for enrolled students to submit a letter from their program verifying enrollment status, credit hours completed, anticipated graduation date, and whether embalming/restorative arts coursework has been completed

Removes the three-year completion deadline for the 2,080-hour internship requirement, allowing hours to be completed during enrollment, after graduation, or both

Requires interns who have not completed embalming and restorative arts coursework to be in the physical presence of their supervising licensee when performing surgical procedures and embalming

Allows interns to have both a primary supervising licensee and an alternate supervising licensee, whereas current law only permits one supervising licensee
