Creates a Common Interest Community Ombudsperson position within the Minnesota Department of Commerce, appointed by the governor, to facilitate dispute resolution between unit owners and homeowner/condo associations

Ombudsperson must advocate for unit owners, compile complaints, provide dispute resolution services, and maintain a website with information about rights and responsibilities under Chapter 515B

Ombudsperson cannot be a unit owner, employed by an association management company, or hold another public office; must be skilled in dispute resolution and selected without regard to political affiliation

Ombudsperson and commissioner are prohibited from rendering formal legal opinions or issuing orders in disputes; data on individuals maintained by the office is classified as private

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to establish the office, effective July 1, 2025
