Creates a "Share the Road" special license plate available for passenger automobiles, noncommercial one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, and recreational motor vehicles

Requires applicants to contribute a minimum of $40 annually to the active transportation account, in addition to standard special plate and registration fees

Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota will design the plate in consultation with the commissioner, featuring "Share the Road" inscription at the bottom and a design area on the left side

Plates may be transferred to another qualifying vehicle owned by the same individual for a $5 transfer fee

Effective January 1, 2026
