Public schools prohibited from using American Indian mascots, nicknames, logos, or team names starting September 1, 2026, unless they obtain an exemption

Schools on reservations of federally recognized Tribal Nations where at least 95% of students are American Indian are exempt from the prohibition

Districts with prohibited mascots must report progress to legislative education committees by February 14, 2025 and February 1, 2026, including confirmation of website removal, board approval of new mascot, and summary of replacement costs

Appropriates general fund money (amount unspecified) for fiscal year 2026 to reimburse schools up to 100% of mascot replacement costs for uniforms, signs, gym floors, equipment, and other property, available until June 30, 2027
