Appropriates $24,000,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Minnesota State High School League to purchase, install, and operate up to 2,000 public access AED smart monitored cabinets on school grounds

AED packages must include fully connected defibrillators with quick rescue capability, five years of smart monitoring and full maintenance, supplied by specified vendors or equivalents

Minnesota State High School League and Anyone Can Save A Life program must jointly select grant recipients from school districts that apply, with applications opening by October 1, 2025

Grant recipients must locate AED units in publicly accessible outdoor or indoor locations, maintain them for five years without additional state or local funding, and ensure reliable operation in typical weather conditions

Minnesota State High School League must submit a report by October 1, 2026 to legislative education committees detailing grants awarded, money allocated, and number of AED units installed
