Requires all licensed teachers renewing Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 licenses to complete 2 hours of professional development training on dyslexia, covering effects on foundational reading skills, effective instruction for students with dyslexia, and mental/behavioral health comorbidities

New teachers must complete dyslexia training within one year of initial license approval; teachers renewing without prior training must complete it within one year of renewal

Training is a one-time requirement that can be satisfied either during initial licensure or upon license renewal

Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board must develop the training with input from the state dyslexia specialist, and all training must be provided at no cost to teachers or districts

Applies to licenses issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2027
