Appropriates $800,000 per year in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 from the general fund to the Minnesota Council on Economic Education for economic and financial literacy programs

Grant funds must support professional development and curricular resources for K-12 teachers implementing state graduation standards in economics and financial education, and grades 9-12 teachers providing personal finance instruction

Funding supports direct-to-student economic and personal finance programs, research on K-12 financial literacy education effectiveness, and affiliated higher education centers at Minnesota State University Mankato, St. Cloud State University, and St. Catherine University

Requires midyear reports by February 15 and year-end reports by August 15 to the commissioner of education detailing professional development opportunities, teacher participation numbers, program evaluations, and research status

Grant payments are split into two installments per fiscal year, with half paid by August 15 and half by February 15
