Amends Minnesota Statutes section 273.117 to expand exceptions allowing property tax valuation reductions for land with conservation restrictions or easements

Creates new exceptions for riparian buffer easements along lakes, rivers, and streams used for water quantity or quality control

Allows valuation reductions for easements in counties that adopted farmland and natural areas protection programs by referendum since 1999

Permits valuation reductions for conservation easements in metropolitan counties and in nonmetropolitan counties that have authorized assessors by resolution to consider easement impacts on property value

Effective for assessment year 2026 and thereafter
