Appropriates $3 million from the general fund to the Department of Education ($1.5 million in FY2026 and $1.5 million in FY2027) as a onetime grant to Hennepin County Community Action Partners

Targets children ages 8 to 18 involved with truancy in Hennepin County, with specific focus on African American youth who are also involved in the child protection system

Eligible uses include establishing mentoring relationships, re-engaging children with birth family or relatives, preparing youth for meaningful work opportunities, and providing life skills training in trauma-informed practices and de-escalation skills

Unspent funds from FY2026 carry over to FY2027
