Classifies most data in Minnesota's statewide voter registration system as public, while designating certain sensitive information as private data, including date of birth, driver's license number, ID card numbers, military ID numbers, passport numbers, and Social Security numbers

Protects presidential primary political party selections as private data, with an exception requiring the Secretary of State to provide each major political party chair with the list of voters who selected that party

Allows voters to request their name be withheld from public lists by submitting a signed statement that withholding is required for the safety of the voter or their family

Requires anyone requesting public voter data to submit a written statement that the information will only be used for elections, political activities, or law enforcement purposes

Repeals existing sections 13.607, subdivision 6 and 201.091, subdivision 9, consolidating data classification rules into section 201.022, effective the day following final enactment
