Appropriates $300,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $300,000 in fiscal year 2027 from the general fund to the Department of Education for civic education grants

Funds directed to the YMCA Center for Youth Voice to support civic education programs for youth 18 years of age and under

Grants also support teacher professional development, educational resources, and program support

Programs must instruct students in constitutional principles, democratic foundations of national, state, and local institutions, and political processes and structures of government

Unspent funds from fiscal year 2026 carry over and remain available in fiscal year 2027
